Iran, Iraq reach agreement on border issues

Mohammad Kazem Ale-Sadegh, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, touched on Sunday evening about the negotiation with the Iraqi side regarding border issues.
 He said: "We asked the Iraqi government to set a timetable for disarming the opposition (Kurdish groups opposed to the Islamic Republic in northern Iraq).
 
Ale-Sadegh said: "We also demanded disarming the opposition and returning them to the camps as refugees."
 
The ambassador noted: "The Iraqi government agreed with our demands and asked for a deadline for disarmament."
 
The issue of exchange of wanted persons based on the memorandum of understanding between the Iraqi and Iranian judicial system was one of the other topics of this meeting that was discussed.
