Iran holds 2nd regional Islamic unity conference in Gorgan
Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought is hosting the second regional Islamic Unity conference in the northern province of Golestan.

Attended by a number of Shia and Sunni scholars from Iran and neighboring countries on the north, the second regional conference on unity in the world of Islam will be held on Tuesday, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Muslim scholars, elites and religious figures from Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will exchange views on the issues challenging the world of Islam in this meeting.
The first regional Islamic unity conference was held in Iran’s western province of Kurdistan in July 2022.
Shia and Sunni clerics from Iran and Iraq discussed the ways to boost solidarity in the world of Islam and also strategies to confront division, Takfir (excommunication) and terrorism in Muslim world.
