16-year-old Muntaser ash-Shawa was pronounced dead on Monday evening after he succumbed to a serious bullet injury he sustained two weeks ago during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces near Joseph’s Tomb in the eastern area of Nablus City.
The martyr’s mother and other citizens proceeded from outside Rafidia Hospital in Nablus City carrying his body, and later he was transferred aboard a vehicle to Balata camp.
His relatives and friends bade him a final farewell before performing the funeral prayer at a local mosque and then laying him to rest at the camp’s cemetery.
With his death, the number of the Palestinians killed mostly by Israeli gunfire since the beginning of the current year climbed to 51 martyrs, including 12 children.
