"Even if such a request was made, we would definitely oppose it", he added.
Regarding the installation of new cameras in nuclear facilities, he also emphasized that there was no agreement in this regard, he stated.
Reacting to the claim of a 50% increase in the IAEA’s inspections of Iran's nuclear sites, he said: Since 60% enrichment was started for the first time in Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, and based on the safeguarding approach, the inspections had to be increased.
Basically, with the increase in the level of enrichment or the entry of more sensitive substances, the number of inspections increases upon the two sides’ agreement.
Accordingly, there used to be eight inspections in Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), which has increased to 11 due to the higher level of enrichment, Kamalvandi said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he refuted claims regarding the Iran-IAEA agreement to provide access to three sites.
He went on to say that the understandings have no contradiction with the Iranian parliament’s "Strategic Action Plan to Lift Sanctions and Protect Iranian Nation's Interests."
