Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted the mutual cooperation between Iran and Iraq stressing that the Israeli-backed terrorist group, Daesh was beaten as a result of this cooperation.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his remarks at International Islamic Unity Conference held in Baghdad, stressed that the great achievements against Daesh would not have been made had it not been for the endeavors and sacrifices made by Popular Mobilization Unit (PMU) and also support of the Iraqi nation and jurists, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He expressed regret over two decades of war, terrorism and bloodshed in Iraq and said,” It was due to these issues that we specifically focused on practical solutions on Islamic unity, peace and avoiding war as the theme for International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran.”
He said,” The regional meetings among Shia and Sunni scholars from different countries were held to stress that the hostile endeavors to divide Islamic nation are all in vain as far as Muslims are loyal to Islam and towards each other.”
The cleric highlighted importance of promoting the concept of Islamic fraternity among Muslims calling that a principle based on which the future generation should be nurtured.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari said,” We demand that the present meeting, with the slogan “Muslims, brother for Muslims”, lead to stronger brotherhood and boosts morale of reconciliation and affection among humanity.”
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought noted that terrorism is uprooted only by stemming its resources and said,” That demands vigilance of the Islamic nation so that no gap is brought among Muslims and enemies have no grounds to misuse.”
He said,” Enemies mean to damage Islam, Muslim community and to tarnish the image of Islamic sanctities.”
Senior cleric lauded the diversity of ethnical and religious groups in Iraq and warned of the arrogant powers that pursue ways to bring tension in Iraq.
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought praised Iran-Iraq relations as role model for unity in the world of Islam and called on the Muslim scholars to focus on the issue of holy Quds as the major crisis in Muslim world.
Peace and stability in the region and across the globe will prevail only by eliminating the hubs of tension, global Zionism and Israeli regime.
He condemned normalization of relations with Israeli regime as a big treachery to the Palestinian nation and the entire world of Islam and said,” This crime will pave the way for Zionists to commit more crimes against the innocent people.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari underlined importance of cooperation and joint projects to end sufferings of millions of Muslims across the globe.
He highlighted importance of ways to settle the issues of refugees, youths, unemployment, climate and other problems in the world of Islam.
The cleric made the remarks at the international conference held in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Saturday.
