“Islamic unity occurs in resistance against shared enemies”, Iraqi cleric

Head of the Iraqi Sunni scholars noted that the true Islamic unity occurs in resistance against common enemies and to respect each other’s traits.

Sheikh Khalid al Mulla, in his remarks at the Islamic Unity Conference held in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, stressed importance of maintaining respect for the traits of other people as an important aspect that will lead to true solidarity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” Another meaning for unity is that we stand in the same front against enemies, particularly the Israeli regime and the US.”
 
Top cleric referred to the developments of Iraq in confrontation with Daesh terrorist group and hailed the solidarity of the people in resisting against enemies in the country.
 
Still in another part of his remarks, Sheikh Khalid al Mulla hailed the sacrifices by Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandis as well as other martyrs of resistance for delivering the message of peace to Iraq.
 
Senior Iraqi scholar made the comments at the International Islamic Unity Conference held in the capital Baghdad on Saturday.
