Hamas condemns settlers’ attack on Jerusalem church

Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has issued a statement to condemn in the strongest terms the recent attack by Israeli settlers targeting the Church of All Nations in Jerusalem.

Hamas, in its statement, held the Israeli occupation government fully responsible for such settler crimes.
 
The Movement affirmed that such systematic settler attacks on Christian and Islamic holy sites are desperate attempts to Judaize the holy city and its historical landmarks.
 
It appealed to the international community and its institutions to take serious action to stop and criminalize the growing Israeli racist attacks on Palestinian holy sites.
 
Two extremist Jewish settlers tried on Sunday morning to attack the Church of All Nations (Church of Gethsemane) on the Mount of Olives in Occupied Jerusalem.
 
According to the Palestinian Authority’s Governorate of Jerusalem, two settlers broke into the Church and tried to wreak havoc on its contents, but a Palestinian citizen confronted them and managed to thwart their attack.
