The UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process has condemned intensifying Israeli settlers’ aggression against Palestinians.

Tor Wennesland, during an open session of the UN Security Council held Wednesday, expressed his deep concern about the increasing violence of Israeli settlers against Palestinians.
 
The UN envoy called on Israel to “immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and to fully respect all of its legal obligations in this regard.”
 
“Settlement activities have, nevertheless, continued during the reporting period”, he added.
 
He further pointed out that eighty-two Palestinians, including one woman and 17 children, were killed by Israeli forces since the start of the year.
