Leader calls martyrs “living role models” for younger generation
Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called martyrs as the living role models for the Iranian nation particularly the younger generation urging the artists to commemorate the martyrs with the language of arts.

The Leader made the remarks in a meeting with the families of martyrs held in Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniya in the capital Tehran on Sunday, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Ayatollah Khamenei hailed the martyrs as heroes in history of Iran and highlighted the status of their families from different aspects.
The Leader referred to “Qur’anic evaluation” of martyrs’ parents and spouses as equal to those forbearing predicaments who are especially blessed by the Almighty God.
Ayatollah Khamenei called the dedication made by parents and the sacrifices by martyr’s spouses (to send their beloved ones to battle fields) as the ultimate of good deeds and contribution.
The Leader lauded those supporting the forces in Iraq war as a partner in their great sacrifice and said,” Those who helped their beloved ones in war played a key role Iran’s victory.”
Ayatollah Khamenei called the parents and spouses of martyrs as “unique treasure” and a reason for pride and honor for Iran.
The Leader called the Islamic Revolution as savior of the country from falling into ethical, religious and political deviation.
Ayatollah Khamenei concluded his remarks demanding the artists and the media to commemorate the martyrs in their productions.
