OIC voices solidarity with refugees, Palestinians, war-stricken Muslims
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has issued a statement to congratulate world Muslims on arrival of Eid al-Adha expressing regret that the joyous occasion is coincided with challenges across the world of Islam.

Hissein Brahim Taha regretted that Eid Al-Adha coincides with the constant Israeli violations against the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and its attempts to undermine its status and claim it as its own.
He also reiterated the OIC's unwavering support for preserving the Islamic identity and sanctities in holy al-Quds.
Brahim Taha expressed his sorrow that the major Islamic occasion coincided with the ongoing crisis in Sudan, causing difficulties for the civilians in the African country.
The OIC Secretary General referred to the devastating situation of the asylum seekers in camps across various Islamic countries naming poverty, outbreaks of epidemics and diseases, wars, and attacks by extremist groups, resulting in the loss of human life and material possessions.
He expressed hope that the happy occasion would mark the start of a harmonious relief where the spirit of the Ummah would unite in goodness and blessings.
Brahim Taha also wished for peace, stability, and prosperity to prevail in all Muslim States and emphasized the importance of fostering love and cooperation among the OIC Member States.
OIC Secretary General issued the message on the eve of Eid al-Adha when Muslims across the globe mark Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice on tenth of Dhul-Hijjah, the last month in the Islamic lunar calendar. As one of the last rituals in Hajj, pilgrims sacrifice livestock, manifesting total obedience to the Almighty God.
