The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Algeria consulted with the Speaker of the Parliament of this country to boost bilateral ties.

In this meeting, the two sides stressed the bilateral relations and ways to expand them, as well as boosting economic and commercial relations and promoting them to the level of political relations.
The Speaker of the Algerian Parliament stressed the support of cooperation and coordination between the parliaments of the two countries and the activation of parliamentary diplomacy.
The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran pointed to the distinct relations between the two countries and praised the positions of Algeria regarding fair issues, which have a special and strategic position in various regional and international circles, and called for an increase in parliamentary cooperation.
In this meeting, Iranian official congratulated Algeria on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and praised the country's efforts to approve the bill on respect for religions in the Human Rights Council.
Recently, Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf came to Tehran on an official visit and talked with senior officials of Iran, including Ebrahim Raisi and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, President and Foreign Minister.
