AEOI: Iran seeks to indigenize fuels for power plants
Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said: "One of the measures taken is the provision of fuel for power plants, especially for small-scale power plants, and in this field, we are looking for indigenization and exploitation of the capacity of Iranian scientists."

The VP noted: "Based on the assigned tasks, on April 09, 2023, and with the presence of the president, the 20-year vision document of the Iran Atomic Energy Organization was unveiled."
Eslami stated that the Iran Atomic Energy Organization's vision document is a roadmap to reach the goals, and added: "With this document, the Iran Atomic Energy Organization now has a proper understanding of the path ahead of it, inside and outside the country and is moving forward with a specific strategy."
The Iranian top official announced: "Last year we had 159 scientific, technological and industrial achievements, which is considered a great event."
The VP went on to say: "In the last 1.5 years, to complete the fuel chain, we have expanded the capacity to identify and exploit mines."
Eslami stated: "Today, our uranium reserves in the country cannot be compared with the past, so that we currently have 8 active mines in the country, and 6 more mines are planned to be exploited by the end of this year."
