Senior Iranian cleric highlighted Qur’an and wisdom as two principles of Islam stressing the mission of every individual to purify himself.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in his remarks at Aal al-Bayt Islamic center in the Indonesian capital Jakarta enumerated mission of every Muslim after receiving the message of God Almighty to purify himself, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” The first duty of man, after receiving the message of God, is to purify his ego and that happens by avoiding Satan, sensuality and the worldly affairs.”
Top cleric stressed importance of endeavoring for purification of one’s ego and said,” After purification, education is the most important duty as it is a duty for all Muslims forever.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari noted that learning should be followed by practice so that its real value is known to all.
Secretary General of Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought made the remarks during his visit to Aal al-Bayt Islamic center heading a delegation of Iranian religious and cultural figures.
