Iran says Tehran-Baghdad ties to ensure regional security
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian says enhanced ties between Tehran and Baghdad will ensure the security and stability in the entire region.

Amir-Abdollahian was meeting with special representative of the United Nations secretary general for Iraq Jeanine Antoinette Plasschaert in Tehran on Sunday.
He said Tehran and Baghdad enjoy good, comprehensive neighborly relations of cooperation.
Pointing to constructive and prominent bonds between the two neighboring states, the top Iranian diplomat said Iraq plays a pivotal role in the regional developments.
Amir-Abdollahian underscored the importance of boosting security in border areas and called on Tehran and Baghdad to precisely implement a security agreement previously signed between the two countries.
Iran and Iraq signed the security agreement that includes coordination in protecting the border between the two countries in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on March 19.
Plasschaert, who is also the head of the UN assistance mission for Iraq, said Iran has an influential and constructive role in developments in Iraq.
She briefed the top Iranian diplomat on her views about the domestic and regional issues pertaining to Iraq.
