Referring to Iran's efforts to join the BRICS, he said: Another part of the efforts focused on the preparation of long-term cooperation documents and agreements with friendly countries. We followed this in the framework of signing long-term comprehensive cooperation documents with a number of countries, and it has been achieved, and these documents can be a roadmap for Iran's comprehensive cooperation with friendly countries. These have made significant achievements in promoting Iran's trade and economic relations, and considering the nature of cooperation, these documents and roadmaps and legal frameworks that were created can lead us to tangible results in medium and long-term. Undoubtedly, it will have a significant impact on people's daily lives."
The spokesman also said about the September Deal and the agreement between Iran and the United States, which the foreign minister rejected, "The September Deal is not considered a new document, in fact, it was the same process as the Iran and 4+1 talks."
"The last draft of the JCPOA negotiations in September 2022 was ready to be concluded and all parties' return to the JCPOA agreement, but the US government and its European allies made a miscalculation regarding the disturbances in Iran and the developments in Ukraine and missed the opportunity and refused the opportunity to finalize it. They once again showed that they do not have the necessary political will for all parties to return to the agreement and they are not willing to assume their obligations responsibly," the diplomat stated.
