Members of the Iraqi group called "Bani Amer", from Basra, arrived at the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala on Tuesday during the Arbaeen procession.
Wearing white dresses, they showcased several verses of the Holy Quran using large mosaics as images were captured by drone footage.
This year’s Arbaeen comes amid a new wave of acts of Quran desecration that are allowed to happen in Nordic states, especially in Sweden and Denmark, under the guise of freedom of speech.
Numerous programs and campaigns have been held this year to honor the Holy Quran during the Arbaeen march by millions of pilgrims who undertake the kilometers-long journey on foot.
The Arbaeen mourning ceremony stands as an extraordinary and colossal religious congregation on a global scale, with more than 20 million pilgrims in attendance. This profound event signifies the 40th day following Ashura, the solemn commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the revered grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
