Iran, Iraq stress expelling terrorists, expanding ties

Iraqi Foreign Minister at his joint presser with Iran's FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran and Iraq share historical and geographical roots based on the economic interests of the two sides.

Iraqi Foreign Minister stated: "We talked about Basra-Shalamcheh Railway, which after three years entered the implementation phase, which can be used by the Iranian citizens to travel to Basra."
 
"After the resumption of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, there have been good developments in the region, and Iraq has played an important role in this matter, and the more the relations expand, the more it will help to maintain the security of the region.", added Fuad Hussain
 
The Iraqi top diplomat noted, "According to the Iraqi constitution, Iraq will not allow any group to attack another country from Iraqi soil."
 
"Our ultimate goal is to disarm terrorist groups and transfer them to refugee camps," stressed Iraqi top diplomat."
 
Iran's Foreign Minister for his part said, "Even one hour of delay in expelling the terrorist group from Iraqi soil will lead to the detriment of the security of Iraq, Iran, and the Kurdistan Region".


Iranian top diplomat stressed that the black spot of terrorism must be cleared from the white sheet of Iran-Iraq relations. 
Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks over the implementation of the security agreement signed between the two countrifies to expel the terrorist elements from Iraqi soil. 
He stressed the paramount importance of national security for Iran and appreciated the Iraqi foreign minister's measures about the expel of the terrorist and separationist elements from Iraq. 
During the meetings held between the Iraqi and Iranian political and security officials, the two sides signed a security agreement and set a deadline to end the presence of the terrorists' presence in northern Iraq.
The Iranian FM recalled that Iran and Iraq are at the highest level of relations, including the economic ties.
