Journalist Ashraf Abu Amra was injured by a gas bomb while covering the protests east of Khan Younis.
He was taken to hospital for a surgery to save his arm while a number of other journalists also suffocated with the toxic gas fired in their direction.
The PJS called on international human rights organizations to put pressure on Israel to stop attacks against journalists and to prosecute it for its ongoing crimes.
Journalists are not excluded from Israeli attacks both in field battle and in air raids. A prominent example for that is the air strike against their office buildings in Gaza City, which housed more than a dozen international and local media outlets.
