Bangladeshi thinker: Requisite for attaining common values is to iron out differences, rifts

Farooqi noted in his speech in 37th International Islamic Unity Conference on Saturday, "Islam has always invited human beings to cooperation, synergy and interaction. The goal of this invitation is building a society based on justice, equality and cleanness. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his dear companions serve as a noble model for cooperation, synergism and unity. They set aside differences and gaps to reach common values."

"The requisite for attaining common values is to iron out differences and rifts and strengthen cooperation in different fields. We should shoulder to shoulder fight extremism and violence, while expanding real mission of Islam all over the world," the thinker stated and said, "We should get united in confronting economic and social challenges facing Islamic communities today. We should join hands for materialization of sustainable development. Islamic cooperation is not just domestic, going beyond and covering political and international domains."

Facing current challenges ahead of the world of Islam and the world, we should show our power of unity. Among challenges in the international level may be the international challenge of “climate change,” or “global economic justice.” Hence, we should confront the challenges through our cooperation. Our solidarity would to a large extent be influential in formation of a more just world, he concluded.
