We entrust our affairs to God, verily God is all seeing the worshippers.
First of all, God bless holy spirit of the late Imam Khomeini, the founder of Islamic unity in our age. I also greet the high ranked position in jurisprudence Ayatollah Hazrat Imam Khamenei, may God protect him, who follows the path of Imam Khomeini, especially in the area of Islamic unity. I also greet dear audience of this important international session. I also appreciate organizers of this international session.
In my presentation I try to define Islamic unity and synergism. Islamic media have always been moving in the same direction to forge Islamic unity and synergism in Islamic community. However, regarding the need for unity under present conditions and future of Islamic community, it is necessary to further work on Islamic unity and synergism. Therefore, if Islamic media is to play more helpful and more effective role in this field, it is necessary to pay attention to several points.
The first point is in the field of media. Media should be modernized. At least, media officials and supporters of Islamic media should pay serious attention to the issue.
The second point in the media is human resources, which need to be considered both in terms of quality and quantity for management and planning and presentation of good programs for the audience.
The third point in connection with the media is attractiveness of the programs. The programs should be so attractive to draw the audience and glue them to the media devices, thus leaving magnificent effects.
The second point is in connection with the audience. To influence the audience in terms of Islamic unity and synergism and move people in various Islamic countries in the same direction, we should raise public culture, which is the most important program and the most strategic work of the media. Public awareness in various domains should be raised.
Promoting public awareness and culture of public life, people will acknowledge the need for unity absolutely. They will be confident and believe and we can easily promote the issue of Islamic unity and synergism. We will thus be able to return back to Islamic community what is missing. We will under different social life programs distribute it among people and make them understand the important point.
What is important here is definition of Jihad. Raising public awareness and life culture is a program which should be undertaken by the media for a long period of time.
Definition of Jihad is a daily-based move. We should be engaged in it every minute, hour, day, week, month and year. That’s why Imam Khamenei has provided a broad and deep presentations on the need for Jihad of definition and made it a duty to have all the Islamic media work in the area.
As for Jihad of definition, we should pay attention to several points on synergism and Islamic unity.
The first point is the need for Islamic unity. We should make people understand the need for unity. We should tell them Islamic communities will become powerful in case of unity. If they become powerful, they will have authoritative life in other fields if becoming powerful and in absence of unity, Muslims and society will definitely face serious problems.
The second point is negative consequences of differences. In this connection, elaborations should be made on negative consequences of differences in Islamic communities.
The third point is introducing enemy. We should pay special attention to disclosing image of enemy, and introducing domestic, regional and global enemy to Muslims.
Another point is enemies’ plot; using different opportunities, conditions, grounds and facilities, enemies design conspiracies against Islamic nations and divide them. We should introduce these plots and the method used to design plots and also inform Islamic community of the plots’ effects.
The next point is introducing the infiltrators. We should introduce them and their physical personality. We should say through which personality and moves they are present in Islamic communities. They are affiliated to enemy and implement plans of enemy against Islamic countries. Which is the infiltration thought that moves of enemy and its affiliates organize, raise and propagate in Islamic communities. We should disclose them as well and inform Muslims and make them understand so that Islamic media will act on its duties to forge convergence, define synergism and attain Islamic unity.
