Al-Azhar warns of journalists turning into new target for Israeli regime
The al-Azhar Observatory has warned of Israeli regime efforts to silence the journalists saying that the voices reporting the regime’s crimes have turned into a new target for the regime.

Al-Azhar stressed that the Israeli bombardment of Gaza has increased the fatality among journalists since silence of the media is a normal strategy for the Israeli regime, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The Egyptian academy says Israeli regime has spent billions of dollars to improve its image and to do so it has silenced the freedom-seeking journalists turning them into targets.
Al-Azhar said,” Israeli regime- like Daesh terrorists- that believed he who follows a path rather than ours is not one of us- detains journalists who oppose genocide of Palestinians.”
The statement added,” Besides killing and detention, abuse is another means for the Israeli regime to intimidate the journalists” and added,” Nearly 144 journalists have been maimed in Israeli attacks during 2018-2022.”
It continued that intimidation and threatening the occupation of journalism is another means for the of pro-Palestine media crew.
Al-Azhar stressed that manipulation of the probes has blocked a decree to be issued against the perpetrators; therefore, Israeli regime has been emboldened to target the journalists.
The statement said it had earlier warned of the Netanyahu cabinet misusing the Gaza war to change the directorship of the al-Aqsa Mosque particularly because extremist organizations and Israeli rabbis have beefed up efforts to achieve govenment of the holy site.
It condemned the Israeli regime for challenging millions of Muslims as it has intensified restrictions for the Muslim worshippers entering al-Aqsa Mosque and detained those who resist the defiling of the mosque.
