Palestinian women showing a new image of Muslim women to world
An Iranian university professor said in more than seven decades of Palestinian confrontations with Israeli regime, the recent Gaza war revealed images illustrating determination of the Palestinians to the world people.

Aida Esmati, professor of Taybad University in Iran’s northeastern province of Razavi Khorasan, said brave Palestinian women, in the recent battle against Israeli regime, gave a new image of Muslim women to the world people, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Speaking at the webinar entitled “Role of Women in Islamic Resistance and Palestine” held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Aida Esmati hailed the Palestinian nation for their brave uprising in the operation al-Aqsa Flood and said,” A nation that was so far in defensive position against the Israeli regime has shown a totally different image during the operation al-Aqsa Flood.”
She referred to the tarnished image of Muslim women shown in the western movies and media as dominated and oppressed and said,” In the recent Gaza war, we found Palestinian mothers who undermined all equations and supported the resistance while holding the dead body of their children.”
She added,” Gaza women set a role model for the women across the world and this is the true image of a Muslim woman with her faith deeply rooted in her heart.”
She continued,” Today the priority of a Palestinian woman is liberation of Palestine and to teach her children the devotion to their country.”
According to the Iranian professor the key incident in Gaza war is the amalgamation of war and motherhood, as seen in Palestinian women, who have injected a new life into the resistance.
She condemned the inaction by some countries regarding the catastrophe unfolding in the Gaza Strip and said,” No voice has been raised by the so-called claimants of human rights when 70 precent of the fatalities was among innocent children and women.”
Aida Esmati made the comments in the 10th edition of the al-Aqsa webinars held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
