Israel conducts new strikes against Syria’s Aleppo

Israeli warplanes have launched new strike on the Syrian territory as the tensions remain high in the region and Israel keeps its killing campaign against Palestinian targets.

“At around 17:20 p.m. local time (1420 GMT) on Saturday, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial attack from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, west of Lattakia, targeting some sites south of Aleppo city,” the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted an unnamed military source as saying.

The source said there were no injuries, but some material loss.

Only two days ago Syrian air defenses intercepted most of Israeli missiles launched toward the capital Damascus.

On October 7, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas launched its surprise Operation al-Aqsa Storm in the occupied territories in response to years of aggression by the Israeli regime against the Palestinians. Caught off-guard, Israel ignited its bloody war machine afterward.

Now almost three months into the conflict, Israel has killed more than 21,600 people in Gaza. Most of the fatalities are women and children.

Israel frequently targets military positions inside Syria, especially those of the resistance movement Hezbollah, which has played a key role in helping the Syrian army in the fight against foreign-backed terrorists.

The regime rarely comments on its attacks on the Syrian territories, which many see as a knee-jerk reaction to the Syrian government’s success in confronting and decimating terrorism.

Israel has been a prime supporter of terrorist groups that oppose the democratically-elected government of President Bashar al-Assad.
