During the 19th summit of the member states of the Non-Aligned Movement in Uganda, Mohammad Mokhber, the first vice president of Iran stated the Zionist regime was seeking to expand the scope of war to other countries to avoid defeat and overcome a self-inflicted crisis.

Mokhber also denounced unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States and some other countries as economic terrorism, stating that independent and free nations do not accept force, imposition, and humiliation.
He highlighted the importance of defining common security mechanisms, developing transportation structures, preserving the environment, and creating new comprehensive economic networks, and political, and cultural cooperation.
Additionally, he expressed the Islamic Republic's complete readiness to cooperate in realizing sustainable interests for all countries in the region.
