Israeli oppression motivates Palestinian women to resist

Zahra Delavari Parizi, researcher and professor of Hawza and university from Qom, speaking at the online conference on “Role of Women in Islamic Resistance and Palestine” as the 16^th edition of webinars on Al-Aqsa Storm, underlined the crucial role of women in the ongoing resistance against occupation and oppression, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

She praised the Palestinian women for showing immense strength, resilience, and determination to fight for their rights and the liberation of their homeland.

She said,” One of the significant contributions of Palestinian women is their active participation in protests and demonstrations” and added,” Their presence has not only added strength to the resistance movement but has also challenged traditional gender roles within Palestinian society.”

According to the Iranian professor, in addition to their involvement in activism, Palestinian women have also excelled in various fields such as education, arts, literature, and politics.

Zahra Delavari Parizi referred to the challenges facing the Palestinian women due to the occupation namely checkpoints, restrictions on movement, home demolitions, and violence from Israeli forces and noted that such challenges further motivate them to continue resisting oppression while advocating for justice and equality.

The 16^th edition of the al-Aqsa Storm webinars as held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought was held on Wednesday as a number of female activists and thinkers expressed their views on the role of Palestinian women in more than seven decades of fight against occupation in the Palestinian lands.
