The interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran has highlighted as “logical” the two conditions set by Hamas resistance movement for ceasefire in Gaza.

Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, in his Friday sermon, has underlined Hamas’ condition for complete halt of strikes and freedom of Palestinian prisoners as the two conditions set for ceasefire with Israeli regime, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The senior cleric delivering the weekly sermon at the Friday prayer on February 2, referred to the reports by Qatari sources regarding serious developments in ceasefire talks between the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and Israeli regime.
 
Qatar said the ceasefire proposal by Hamas has been received “positively” by the Palestinian resistance adding that Doha was still “waiting for their response”.
 
In his Friday sermon, the cleric also referred to the anniversary of Islamic Revolution stressing that the 1979 revolution changed the discourse of de-Islamization to a discourse for participation of religion in state.
