The Secretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) has denounced the ongoing US-Israeli genocidal war against the besieged Gaza Strip stressing that the west is not committed to any values.

Ali al-Qaradaghi called on the Islamic countries to support South Africa in its legal complaint of the Israeli regime lodged at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said that the Zionist Israeli regime is defamed across the globe and said,” That marks the beginning of an end for the oppressive west who supports the injustice against Palestinians and justifies the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza as self-defense.”
 
Ali al-Qaradaghi expressed regret over the humanitarian situation in Gaza caused as a result of the Israeli bombings and blockade of the strip.
 
He issued a fatwa (religious statement) calling on the Muslims who intend to perform minor Haj during Ramadan, donate the money for their pilgrimage for the war-stricken Palestinians in Gaza.
 
The senior cleric said,” Operation al-Aqsa Storm was nothing but a defense for the holy al-Aqsa Mosque” calling on all capable people across the occupied West Bank to attend the holy site.
 
Qaradaghi also criticized the imbalance within the Islamic nation saying,” Most of the Arab and Islamic countries are hostile towards the issue of Gaza and not even neutral.”
