The far-right Israeli minister, Itmar Ben Gvir has called on the Zionists to attack al-Aqsa Mosque during the fasting month of Ramadan in yet another anti-Muslim, anti-Palestinian move.

The Zionist television channel 13 aired Ben-Gvir’s notorious call on Sunday night, according to the Palestinian Sama news agency.

The Israeli media citing high-ranking Israeli officials said however that Ben-Gvir’s call is very worrying and will not be agreed to in the end.

Just days before the beginning of Ramadan, the hawkish far-right Israeli politician proposed barring Palestinians from the occupied West Bank and other occupied territories in 1948 from praying at Al-Aqsa, Islam’s third holiest site.

Netanyahu officially did not heed to the proposal but Israel forces prevented hundreds of youths from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque on the first congregational Friday prayer of Ramadan.

The mosque has frequently been a flash-point for violence often sparked by storming of the complex by Israeli settlers under the protection of Zionist troops.
