Iran announces new sanctions against American, British entities, figures

Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued two separate statements to announce sanctions against several figures and entities from the United Kingdom and the United States.

The first statement regarding the sanctions against US figures and entities including the organizations and corporations involved in supply of arms to the Israeli regime.

Among the entities and corporations sanctioned by Tehran are the Lockheed Martin Corporation, the General Dynamics, The Skydio Engineering for providing arms and bullets to the Israeli regime.

The statement by Iranian Foreign Ministry says the sanctions are in conformity with articles 4 and 5 of the ‘Law on Countering the Violation of Human Rights and Adventurous and Terrorist Activities of the United States in the region’.
 
The statement also introduced Jason Rubin, Jason Brodsky, Clifford D. May and Bryan P. Fenton among several other advisors over ‘supporting and complicitity in Israeli regime’s heinous acts against the Palestinians especially in Gaza.

Also in a second statement, Iranian Foreign Ministry listed RAF Akrotiri Royal Air force in Cyprus, UK Royal Navy in Red Sea HMC Diamond among the British entities and also Grant Shapps, James Hockenhull as well as Sharon Nesmith among individuals sanctioned in line with the implementation of the "Law on Countering the Hostile Activities of the Zionist Regime against Peace and Security" as ratified by the Iranian Parliament on 20 May 2020.

The statement by Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the British entities and individuals were sanctioned over deliberate support and facilitation of the Israel Zionist regime’s actions, including committing terrorist acts against regional and international peace and security, systematic violation of human rights, warmongering, use of heavy weaponry  and prohibited weapons against civilian, blocked, displacement of the Palestinian  people, expansion of illegal settlement  in occupied territory and continuation of occupation.

It added,” Obviously, the sanctions do not exempt the persons from prosecution for their involvement in criminal activities at competent courts”.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry also said in its statement that,” The Islamic Republic holds the British government responsible and accountable for supporting terrorism and violation of human rights.”
