Building modern Islamic civilization, key objective of Intl. Imam Reza Congress
The Secretariat of the 5th International Imam Reza Congress says the most important objective of the event is to reach the guideline and a plan for building the new Islamic civilization based on the teachings by the eighth Shia Imam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Saeedreza Ameli, said on the sideline of the 5th International Imam Reza Congress, that the major conference aimed to provide a new reading of Imam Reza teachings in accordance with the cultural and ideological demands across the world, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said that the international conference aimed to expand cooperation and convergence on Razavi teachings, bolstering the culture of resistance based on Razavi lifestyle and also reaching a common understanding on concepts of justice, truth, honor, discrimination, oppression and also schism.
The secretariat of the 5th International Imam Reza Congress also touched upon the ongoing Israeli genocidal war against the besieged Gaza Strip calling that the flagrant manifestation of oppression, discrimination and major crimes.
He condemned the Israeli regime for killing more than 16,000 children, massacre of pregnant women, displacement of nearly two million Gazans, massacre and abduction of more than 50,000 Palestinians, forced displacement of women, children and the elderly towards no certain destination.
The Iranian cleric said,” A view at the present condition across the world reveals that the five basic needs of man, food and water, housing, health, education and environment are all in desperate situation” and added,” In general inequality has shown a spiking growth in comparison with the past two centuries showing a considerable growth up to 85 per cent of the population now.
He said,” The congress is held amid a growing discrimination and oppression across the globe as the hopes for establishment of justice is fading.”
According to the secretariat of the 5th International Imam Reza Congress, the major event has a background of four rounds being held in a span of four decades with the fifth round of the gathering underway in Mashhad after a 30-year break.
The International Imam Reza Congress is hosting elites and religious leaders of Abrahamic religions from four continents Asia, Europe, Africa and America who have submitted more than 200 articles to the event.
