Iraqi PM delivers message of condolence to Iran’s Leader, nation following copter crash

Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, delivered the message of condolence over martyrdom of Iranian President and companions, to the Iranian government and nation in a meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran.

Al-Sudani delivered the message following the funeral ceremony in Tehran where Ayatollah Khamenei performed prayer over the bodies of President Ebrahim Raeisi and his companions on Wednesday morning, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
More than 50 high-ranking delegates from other countries have arrived in the capital Tehran to pay tribute to the Iranian president Ebrahim Raeisi and his companions martyred in the Sunday helicopter crash in northwest Iran.
 
Iran’s interim president Mohammad Mokhber and acting Foreign Minister, Ali Baqeri Kani, will attend the Wednesday afternoon ceremony held on the third day of five-day national mourning.
 
Bodies of the president Raeisi and his companions were warmly received in a funeral ceremony in Tabriz on Tuesday morning followed by another ceremony in the holy city of Qom in the afternoon.
 
Millions of people in the capital Tehran paid tribute to the martyrs on Wednesday morning after the Leader Ayatollah Khamenei prayed over the bodies of the martyrs in Tehran University.
 
Another ceremony will be held in the northeastern city of Mashhad on Thursday where the body of late president Raeisi will be laid to rest.
