Mourners in Mashhad bid farewell with martyred President Raeisi
Mourners from across Iran gathered in the northeastern city of Mashhad to bid farewell with President Ebrahim Raeisi and his companions martyred in the Sunday helicopter crash in northeast Iran.

The procession is held following a funeral ceremony in Birjand, South Khorasan Province, which President Raeisi represented in the Assembly of Experts, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Mourners wave carry flags and placards with messages of gratitude for the president popular for his services in the smaller towns and remote areas.
Born in the holy city of Mashhad, the body of president will be buried at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).
On Sunday, the helicopter carrying President Raeis and his companions, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian crashed in mountainous area due to heavy fog and poor weather.
A massive procession was held in the Iranian capital Tehran as the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei prayed over the bodies in Tehran University on Wednesday.
Hundreds of high-ranking delegations, officials and ambassadors from different countries arrived in the Iranian capital to offer condolences and pay tribute to President Raeisi.
