“Funerals of late president, companions showed Iranian nation is alive”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei hailed the massive participation of the people in Iran in the funeral processions held for President Raeisi and his companions saying that showed Iranian nation is alive.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the comments in a meeting with the families of martyrs of the recent helicopter crash in northwest Iran stressing that serving the people was the most outstanding feature of the martyrs in recent incident, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The Leader, in this meeting held on Saturday morning called late President Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian as a “truly tireless” people.
 
Ayatollah Khamenei also lauded late Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Ali Al-e Hashem for changing the definition of Friday prayers from a merely act of worship to a complete spiritual and popular act to serve people.
 
The Leader called hardworking and struggling as remarkable features of Sayyed Mahdi Mousavi, the head of Raeisi’s guard team and the helicopter crew martyred in this incident.
 
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the million-strong funeral processions held in different cities and said,” This funeral showed that Iranian nation is alive.”
 
The Leader called late President Raeisi as an epitome of the revolutionary mottos and said the world knew the late President as the “President of Revolution” and added, “When the people pay tribute to President Raeisi, that means their popular support for the mottos of the Islamic Revolution”.
 
Ayatollah Khamenei offered his condolences to the family of President Raeisi in a visit to their home in Tehran on Wednesday.
