Iran’s acting FM holds sideline meetings with top diplomats from BRICS
Iran’s acting Foreign Minister, who is on a two-day visit to the Russian city f Nizhny Novogrod to attend BRICS summit, has held talks with officials from members of the group of emerging economies.

Ali Bagheri Kani met with top diplomats from Kazakhstan on the sideline of the meeting on Monday and discussed a range of bilateral and international issues as well as the ways to bolter bilateral ties between the two countries.
He met with his Sri Lankan counterpart, Ali Sabri as the two officials discussed the ways to boost Tehran-Colombo relations.
Ali Sabri, called a visit by late President Raeisi to his country, as a sign for determination of both sides to develop stable relations.
Bagheri Kani also met and held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Alieinik as the two sides discussed bilateral, regional, and international issues, as well as ways to develop cooperation.
BRICS is an intergovernmental organization of emerging economies comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates.
This is the first ministerial meeting being attended by Iran since the country formally became a member of the bloc in January this year.
