Iranian Sunni scholars call upcoming presidential election as display of national unity
The Sunni prayer leaders and orators in Iran’s northern province of Golestan have stressed, in their Friday sermons, that election is an instance of the national unity to build the future of the country.

The Iranian Sunni scholars, in their last sermon before the upcoming election to be held on June 28, highlighted importance of high voter turnout in the key national event, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Akhoond Mohammad Jorjani, from Tatar Olia in Ramian County, called the participation of the people in the presidential election as a national necessity and a responsibility.
Akhoond Madad Agha Houshmand, Friday prayer leader of Inceh Borun, stressed that the massive voter turnout of the people to hold a fervent election.”
He stressed that the voters should discourage the enemies of Islam and Iran by their solidarity in participation in May 28 elections.
Also, Akhoond Yousef Iri, the prayer leader of Sijeval ciy urged the six presidential nominees to follow the law in the elections and also avoid any disrespect towards each other during the campaigns or debates.
Iranian Sunni scholars made the comments in their sermons in the last Friday before the presidential elections which is set to be held on Friday 28.
