“In recent days, the Zionist criminality in Gaza has intensified with the support of the US and all international efforts to [establish] a ceasefire have also failed,” Mohammad Mokhber said on Sunday.

He added that the critical and inhumane situation in Gaza has left another “shameful stain” on the dark criminal record of the Israeli regime.

Mokhber also criticized Muslim countries for failing to fulfill their duties and taking no practical move.

The Iranian interim president’s comments came as Israel continues to systematically target shelters, schools, and UNRWA facilities across the besieged territory in its tenth-month genocidal war.

Earlier on Sunday, Israeli forces targeted a school run by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing at least 15 people and injuring 80 others.

On Saturday, a series of airstrikes were conducted by Israel’s F16 warplanes that targeted the al-Mawasi area designated by the regime as a so-called “safe” zone.

The attacks, which took place around 10:30 a.m., left at least 90 Palestinians dead and more than 300 others wounded.

Many were still missing and rescue teams continued to retrieve dozens of casualties from the sites of the bombings.

Israel launched the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, after Palestinian resistance groups carried out a surprise retaliatory operation into the occupied territories.

So far, during the military onslaught, the Israeli regime has killed at least 38,584 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 88,881 others.
