Prominent Shia jurist, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Sistani, has condemned the terrorist attack targeting Shia mosque in Oman.

Ayatollah Sistani send a condolence message to express sympathy with the prayer leader of Wadi al-Kabir area in Muscat killing a number of people, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The senior Shia scholar prayed for mercy and grace for the martyrs and wished speedy recovery for those injured in this incident.
 
The shooting was during the ceremonies marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

The Royal Oman Police said the incident resulted in the death of five individuals, the martyrdom of one policeman, and the death of three perpetrators.
28 individuals of various nationalities were also injured in this incident.
