The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has offered condolences over martyrdom of the chief of its political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh.

Hamas said that its political chief and his body guard have been martyred in a ‘treacherous attack’ by the Israeli enemies targeting his residence in the Iranian capital Tehran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The Palestinian leader was in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s newly-elected President Masoud Pezeshkian.
 
Hamas offered condolences with the Palestinian people, Islamic nation and the resistance front.
 
Earlier Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) issued a statement to confirm that Haniyeh and his body guard were martyred in their residence in Tehran.
 
IRGC added that the incident is under investigation.
