Former CIA officer:

“Haniyeh martyrdom had support, foreknowledge of US, UK”

A former intelligence officer with the United States intelligence service, CIA, said that the martyrdom of the Palestinian leader, Ismail Haniyeh “clearly had the support and foreknowledge of the United States and United Kingdom.”
“Haniyeh martyrdom had support, foreknowledge of US, UK”
The retired CIA intelligence officer made the remarks in an interview with Sputnik following a statement by Hamas resistance movement confirming that the chief of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance was martyred in the Iranian capital Tehran early on Wednesday, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He warned against the ongoing situation as “extremely dangerous” stressing that the incident is in face a ‘crossing of the red lines.’

The former CIA officer added that the attack on Hamas leader has escalated the tensions in the region beyond what they were, even after Israel’s April attack on the Iranian consular building in the Syrian capital.

He said, “This is extremely dangerous. […] This attack [on Haniyeh] was so blatant that I don't think there will be any restraint on the part of Iran or Hezbollah.”

The bureau of Hamas resistance movement said Haniyeh was martyred as a result of a treacherous Israeli raid while a member of the politburo of the Palestinian movement warned that the ‘cowardly action’ will not go unpunished.
