Saudi king sends letter to Iran’s new president Pezeshkian
Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has sent letter to Iran’s new President Masoud Pezeshkian stressing expansion of mutual relations.

The message was submitted to the new Iranian president by Minister of State Prince Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, who was in Tehran on Tuesday to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Pezeshkian, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.
Later on Tuesday, Prince Mansour and his accompanying delegation were received by Pezeshkian in a meeting, during which the Saudi official conveyed the greetings of King Salman, as well as Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the new Iranian president and wished further progress and prosperity for the government and people of Iran.
Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji and the Saudi ambassador to Tehran, Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi, were also present in the meeting.
Iran’s Interim Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani and a number of officials also attended the meeting.
During a ceremony held at the Iranian Parliament on Tuesday, Pezeshkian took the oath of office, with dignitaries from more than 80 countries attending the event.
