Despite the pressure the Western countries exerted on the mayor of Nagasaki to invite the representative of the Zionist regime to the ceremony, Mayor Shiro Suzuki has stood firm in his Wednesday-announced decision to not invite the Israeli envoy and emphasized that he will not withdraw from it.
"According to the media, Nagasaki mayor announced that he would not invite the ambassador of Israel to attend the commemoration ceremony on the anniversary of US' nuclear bombardment of this city. The ambassadors of the US, G7 countries, and a number of the Western countries announced that they would boycott the ceremony and would not attend it because of not inviting the Zionist regime's envy."
Kanaani stressed: "If the Islamic governments and Muslim nations, too, practically supported the oppressed Palestinian nation and the defenseless residents of Gaza, based on their Islamic, humanitarian and legal duty, no Palestinian citizens, children and women would have been slaughtered by the Zionist murderous tribe."
He quoted a tradition from the Prophet of Islam that said whoever hears a man seeking help from the Muslims and they do not answer, they are not Muslim.
