More than 70 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed and dozens more wounded as a result of incessant Israeli bombings across the besieged strip with reports that most of the casualties are among women and children.

In a statement, the health ministry said that the Israeli army killed and injured a large number of civilians in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, but at least 281 of them, including 69 martyrs, were transported to hospitals.
 
Israeli artillery shelling today hit a house in Bureij refugee camp in the central war-torn Gaza Strip, killing an eight-month-old toddler and her mother and injuring others, according to a medical source in al-Awda Hospital.
 
The health ministry added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments and shooting attacks, which started on October 7, climbed to 40,334 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 93,356 people.
 
Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
 
Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.
