Hamas slams Israeli decision to finance settlers’ incursion into al-Aqsa Mosque

The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has condemned as ‘dangerous’ a recent decision by Israeli regime to finance provocative incursions by Israeli settlers into holy al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas slams Israeli decision to finance settlers’ incursion into al-Aqsa Mosque
In its latest statement, Hamas urged the Arab and Islamic countries “to take responsibility for protecting the holy sites”, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Hamas described Israeli regime as ‘fascist extremist government’ who is playing with fire as it ignores the sanctity and Islamic identity of al-Aqsa.

It warned that the attempts by the regime to change the status quo of the first Qibla of Muslims threatens to spark a religious war.

Hamas vowed that al-Aqsa Mosque is an Islamic endowment that was and will remain purely Islamic.

The statement by the Palestinian resistance movement came after a much controversial decision by Israeli minister of heritage to allocate a sum of 543,000 dollars to support the extremist security minister, Itmar Ben Gvir, in his incursions into the al-Aqsa Mosque.

A wave of disapproval has been raised after the hawkish Israeli minister, Ben Gvir, proposed construction of a synagogue inside the al-Aqsa Mosque courtyard condemning that as a move that means Judaization of the mosque.

Ben Gvir stormed the holy Islamic site two weeks ago leading crowds of extremist Israeli settlers who performed Jewish rituals in al-Aqsa in defiance of a decades-long international agreement that bans any religious ceremony or prayer by non-Muslims in the holy Islamic site.
