Nasser Kan’ani made the comment in a post on his official X account on Saturday in reaction to 10 days of the Israeli regime’s massive "military operation" and violent raids on Nablus, Jenin and Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank, killing dozens of people.
He added that Israel has sadistically destroyed all infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and now in some northern areas of the West Bank, especially in Jenin and Tulkarm.
“The Israeli regime is desperate to achieve a victory over the Palestinian resistance and people and is following the ‘scorched-earth’ strategy,” the Iranian spokesman emphasized.
Some news reports say that the Israeli troops have withdrawn from Jenin and Tulkarm after 10 days of aggression against Jenin and 4 days of attacks on Tulkarm in the West Bank, he noted.
Kan’ani reminded the countries and international bodies about their moral and legal duty to “prevent the repetition of the Israeli regime’s war crimes in the West Bank.”
The heightened tensions in the occupied West Bank come as the Israeli regime has since October last year been conducting a barbaric onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip, claiming the lives of at least 40,939 people, most of them women and children.
