The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has launched a retaliatory attack as a barrage of resistance Katyusha rockets targeted an Israeli command center in the southern Lebanese regions.

Hezbollah said in a brief statement that its members targeted the Golani Brigade headquarters at the Mount Neria base with salvos of rockets on Saturday morning, resulting in a direct hit.

The statement said the operation came in support of steadfast Palestinians in Gaza and resistance factions fighting off Israeli aggression, and in retaliation for Israeli attacks on the southern Lebanese towns and villages, especially the recent assault on Froun village in the Bint Jbeil district.

For its part, the Israeli military said at least 30 rockets were fired from southern Lebanon at areas on the northern side of the occupied territories.

Meanwhile, sirens sounded in a number of communities close to the southern Lebanese border, warning of a suspected drone attack.

Hezbollah also announced in a separate statement that it targeted the Israeli Hadab Yaron site with artillery shells.

On Friday, Hezbollah targeted the Ma’ayan Baruch post with an explosive-laden drone, and later the Zebdine barracks and buildings and surveillance equipment in Israeli Metula and Menara military sites.

The group also targeted a post in the occupied Shebaa Farms.

Later in the day, Hezbollah targeted Israeli troops in Abirim with an array of kamikaze drones, in response to an Israeli strike that killed a Hezbollah fighter in the southern town of Kafra on Thursday.

Hezbollah has already fought off two Israeli wars against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006. The resistance forced the regime to retreat in both conflicts.
