10,600 Palestinians arrested in West Bank since 7 October

Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 10,600 Palestinians from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since the start of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation on 7 October, according to a joint statement issued by the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Club.

The arrests were carried out across the governorates of Hebron, Bethlehem, Jenin, Nablus and Ramallah.
The arrest campaigns were accompanied by acts of abuse, assaults and threats against the detainees and their families, in addition to widespread destruction and damage to Palestinian homes.
This comes amid what political analysts have described as “an ongoing war of extermination and widespread aggression” against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.
The arrest figures mentioned pertain only to those detained in the West Bank, excluding Gaza, where the number of detainees is estimated to be in the thousands.
