The Secretary General of Supreme Islamic Council of Tunisia said the ongoing Israeli bloodshed of the civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip has pushed Muslims across the globe to set Islamic unity on top of their agenda for supporting Palestinians.
“Gaza war set Islamic unity on top of Muslim world agenda”
Sheikh Salah Al-Din Al-Mustawi, in his speech at the first webinar of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference held entitled "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue" said there is no other genocidal war in history that indiscriminately kills men, women, the elderly and children, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the increasing number of Palestinian civilians falling victim to the onslaughts since the regime launched its bloodshed on October 7 last year.

Al-Mustawi added,” This condition is painful for any Muslim and has inspired them to set the unity among people from any ethnicity or religious group on top of the agenda for the world of Islam.”

The remarks by the prominent scholar comes in an address to the Shia and Sunni elites at the webinar of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference on the Islamic cooperations which is this year focused on resolving the issue of Palestine.

More than 200 Muslim thinkers, activists and professors exchange views in webinars held concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week that marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), 14-20 September.
