Humanity, religious teachings call us to defend Gazans against Israeli atrocities

A Lebanese Islamic researcher says humanity and religious teachings summon us to rise in defense of the Palestinians suffering Israeli atrocities in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Iman Mohamad Harb, in her speech at the third webinar of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference said,” Deep within, humanity in every person calls him to stand by the Palestinians in face of the Israeli aggressions”, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
She said,” The ongoing Israeli crimes in Gaza has sorrowed the people in western countries, then why should not Muslims be awakened when they count Palestinians as brothers?”
 
The Lebanese scholar counted resolution, brevity and liberality as the necessities in people to take the right stance against oppressors.
 
She also emphasized unity as the grounds for Muslims in order to confront the enemies.
 
The senior Lebanese Islamic scholar made the remarks in an address to the Shia and Sunni elites attending the first webinar of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference on the Islamic cooperations which is this year focused on resolving the issue of Palestine.
 
More than 200 Muslim thinkers, activists and professors exchange views in webinars held concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week that marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), 14-20 September.
