“Prodigies, flourishing gifted people our key assets”

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with hundreds of the talented students and winners of scientific Olympiads on Wednesday morning, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The Leader hailed the speeches by some of the students and the scientific deputy of the President and explained his views on three topics related to the meeting: necessity of caring the giftedness, protection of the gifted and also the responsibility of the talented people.

Ayatollah Khamenei called the prodigies as one of the key assets of the country and called for the grounds for flourishing of the gifted people.

The Leader referred to the emigration of some prodigies with the aim of finding the grounds for growth and stressed necessity of providing the grounds for their scientific advancement in the country.

Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the rapid growth of science across the globe calling on the Iranian prodigies to struggle for making scientific achievements.

The Leader stressed that a result of the scientific and technological superiority is that the hands of enemies will be severed from inflicting any blow to the people in Gaza and Dhahia and will prevent the outbreak of any war.

Referring to the assassination of the Hezbollah leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader called that a massive catastrophe.

Ayatollah Khamenei said,” The message of this meeting which is held amid our grieving is that to us mourning does not mean to be depressed and opt for solitude as our grief is a type we hold for Imam Hussein (AS), an active mourning which is promotes and encourages in line with our work and for advancement.
The Leader said,” The basis of regional issues is due to the US and some European countries who claim to advocate peace but if they are expelled from the region, all conflicts would end and the regional countries will live in coexistence and peace.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the US provoking Saddam Hussein, former dictator ruler of Iraq, to invade Iran as an instance of the American and western warmongering policy in the region and said,” The current friendly relations between Iran and Iraq, that culminates in Arbaeen march, reveals that the major problem in the region lies with these claimants of peace who should be eliminated from the region, with the grace of God Almighty.”

The meeting began with the speech by the presidential deputy of science and technology and seven members of Iran’s National Elites Foundation.
