Pezeshkian calls Union of Islamic countries as opportunity to expand Iran- Qatar ties

Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, has hailed the Iran-Qatar relations as expanding and stressed that the proposal for establishment of the Union of Islamic countries will provide several opportunities for both countries.

The president Pezeshkian made the remarks in a meeting of the high-ranking delegation from Iran with Qatari officials in Doha, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” Materialization of Union of Islamic countries will provide numerous opportunities for economic, political, cultural and scientific exchanges between Tehran and Doha.”
 
Masoud Pezeshkian hailed the capabilities of Qatar for playing a role in materialization of the plan for Union of Islamic countries.
 
Still in another part of his remarks, Iran’s head of executive referred to the regional tensions created by the Israeli regime and said,” Israeli regime has proved that it sees no end to its massacres and the retaliatory attack by Iran’s armed forces that targeted the Israeli military bases, is a response to the relentless crimes committed by the regime’s brutalities.”
 
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, for his part highlighted the developing relations between Iran and Qatar and said Doha will endeavor to achieve the objectives to expand the mutual relations with Tehran.
 
The Qatari senior official noted that the Israeli assassination of Hamas chief, Ismail Haniyeh, on the first day after inauguration of president Pezeshkian proved the war-mongering policies of the regime and as an effort to undermine peace and stability in the region.
